Alignment

I’d like to point out that the woman is on one side and most of the text is on the other which creates a good amount of “weight” on both sides. the text doesnt seem to have an exact alignment but is on the left side. The words are curving giving it movement.
Contrast

The black and white of the photo and words adds a very defined contrast throughout the ad. you can see all the features the ad is trying to accentuate in the pants as well as the words are easy to read and follow the contrast. The logo stands out loudly because of the red color, making it easily recognizable.
Color

Being a black and white ad there isn’t much color. However, the color of the logo stands out amongst the black and white.
Typography

The text is the same throughout the ad giving it repetition and a connected feeling. This text has a feeling of movement to it which joins with the woman’s movement. The only exception of that being the Logo. It has a feeling of being stagnate with the font and the colors to set it apart from the ad.
My Ad

Design
Alignment

Like the original ad I placed the object of my picture to one side and had my text on the other. This helps with the weight of the picture. The text is in a curved fashion and is more or less right aligned. Because of these thing the alignment helps this ad fit into the original campaign.
Contrast

The contrast for this ad is the same as the original, black and white ad with a red logo that stands out. By making the ad black and white, it fits with the original campaign giving them a linked feeling.
Color

Again we see here that the colors are the same between the ad I created and the original ad.
Typography

I wasn’t able to use the exact same typography, however I aligned my text quite similarly to the original ad. I feel that the picture I chose is a bit more crisp than the original so the text being crisp as well worked. I used a different text than whats used for the logo, keeping that contrast.
Conclusion
My ad works for this campaign because all the elements explained above are in harmony with one another. I think that this campaigns whole goal was to show people doing things in the levi jeans, whether that be running or exploring the wilderness. The messages both ads send is the same which is why I feel my ad works for this campaign.
